1995 World Table Tennis Championships
The 43rd World Table Tennis Championship was held until May 14, 1995, Tianjin ( China) from 1. Venue was the Tianjin High School. There were represented from 104 nations 88 men's and 79 women's teams and a total of 963 active.
General
China impressively demonstrated its supremacy. All seven gold medals remain in the "Middle Kingdom ". In the women's and men's singles, Chinese male and female players are from the semi-final between themselves. Only in Doubles events non-Chinese players to win a silver and three bronze medals.

The German team first had to qualify in Group B. Women's team competition
The German women's team competed in Group B. Men's Singles
Jörg Rosskopf came after victories over Kayode Kadiri (SVE ), Andrei Masunow (RUS ) and Lin Zhigang (CHN ) in the second round. Here he defeated the Russians Vladimir Samsonov in five sets.
Peter Franz also reached the second round. He defeated Thierry Cabrera ( BEL) and Hiroshi Shibutani (JPN ). Against Peter Karlsson (SVE ) he lost in three sets.
Steffen Fetzner survived Round 1 against Ferenc Pazsy (HUN ), but then could not prevail against the Swede Jörgen Persson.
Torben Wosik was already hanging in the qualifying tournament, where he Zhuang Yongxiang (USA) and S. Phanhngoulath (LAO ) won, but lost to Saubana Ayemojuba ( NGR).
The qualifying tournament was Richard Prause after beating Juan Papic Vilca ( CHI) and Shahzad Wasim (PAH ). The Austrian Ding Yi ended up being too strong.
Men's doubles

Until the quarterfinals Struse / Franz played. They won against Kerri Tepper / Dennis Makaling (AUS), Katalina Vitceva / Ivan Stoyanov (BUL ), Chen Jing / Wu Wen Chia (TPE ) and Kim Boon Sik / Park Sang Joon (KOR ) . ITTF Congress

- Liu Wei / Wang Tao were consecutively for the third time world champion in mixed doubles. This is a hat trick before anyone yet succeeded.
- The 23malige Italian master Massimo Costantini (37 years old) participated in all 11 World Championships ( and also to all 11 European Championships ) since 1975.
- From the People's Republic of China, two stamps were ( Michel catalog No. 2604-2605 ) and a stamp block expended ( Michel catalog block No. 73) to the World Cup on 1 May 1995. In addition there were special in Tianjin and other Chinese cities.
