1996–97 Coppa Italia
The Coppa Italia 1996/97, the football cup competition for club teams in Italy of the 1996/97 season, won Vicenza Calcio. Vicenza met in the final at Napoli and was the Coppa Italia for the first and to date only time win. With 0:1 and 3:0 after extra time, the Vicenza Calcio won against Napoli. It was the successor of Fiorentina, which was eliminated in the second round against FC Bologna.
As an Italian Cup Winners 1996/97 Vicenza Calcio qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year, which represented up to the present day last European participation in the association.
