1996–97 DFB-Pokal (women)
The DFB Women's Cup in 1997 was won by Green-White Brauweiler. For Brauweiler it was the third Cup victory the club's history. In the final Eintracht Rheine was beaten 3-1. For the first time had to be disqualified a team. In the 2nd round Hertha Zehlendorf 03 used the locked Ariane Hingst. The losing club Fortuna Sachsenroß Hannover drew so at the green table into a second round.
