1996–97 Serbian Hockey League season

The 1996/97 season was the sixth season of the Hockey League of FR Yugoslavia, the highest Yugoslav Hockey League. Champion for the fourth time in club history the HK Red Star Belgrade.

Mode

In the main round each of the five teams played a total of twelve games. The top four teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
