1996 Chase Championships
The WTA Championships 1996 was a WTA tennis hall carpet square competition for women in New York City. It was part of the WTA Tour in 1996 and was held from 18 to 24 November 1996.
In individual Steffi Graf defeated Martina Hingis 6-3, 4:6, 6:0, 4:6 and 6:0. In the doubles pairing Lindsay Davenport / Mary Joe Fernandez won with 6:3 and 6:2 against Jana Novotná / Arantxa Sánchez Vicario.
