1996 Copa Libertadores

The Copa Libertadores 1996 was the 37th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. It was attended by 21 teams participate, including in each case the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the Second. The field was completed by defending champion Gremio. The tournament began on 13 February and ended on 26 June 1996 with the final second leg. The Argentine representative of CA River Plate won the final against América de Cali and for the second time the Copa Libertadores.
