1996 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 24th IAAF European Indoor Championships took place from 8 to 10 March 1996 in Stockholm Globe Arena in Stockholm. Sweden was the third time after 1974 and 1984, the event host country.
Athletes from 44 nations went to the start, and a total of 25,000 spectators watched the competitions on site. For the first time in the Indoor Athletics Championships pole vault was also included among the women in the program.
