1996 International Touring Car Championship season

The ITC - 1996 season was the second and last season of the International Touring Car Championship. After two parallel series still took place on the road to internationalization of the German Touring Car Championship in 1995, the DTM and ITC were the two united in 1996 under the name ITC. In many statistics in the official statistics of the ITR, the ITC - season 1996 will be considered as part of the DTM.

My first run was held on April 14, 1996 held at the Hockenheimring, the season finale was held at the Suzuka International Racing Course on November 10, 1996. A total of 13 runs were discharged with two races each in eight different countries on three continents this season. Overall winner was Manuel Reuter in an Opel Calibra with 218 points.
