1997–98 Divizia A

The Divizia A 1997/98, the 60th season in the history of Romanian football league was Divizia A. It began on August 2, 1997 and ended on 2 May 1998. Between mid- December to end of February rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion for the sixth time in a row Steaua Bucharest, which equaling the record of Chinezul Timişoara from the years 1922 to 1927 was established.

Regulate

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. The three last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were three points for a draw and one point for a loss no points. If two or more teams finish the season were tied, decided not goal difference, but a direct comparison.

Results

1 Foresta Fălticeni moved to Suceava and played as Foresta Suceava.
