1997–98 FA Cup

The FA Cup 1997/98 was the 117th edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup shortly. The cup competition ended with the final at Wembley on 16 May 1998. The winner of this discharge was the Arsenal.

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Can participate, each team that has a given level of performance and has an adequate pitch. The game is played i.d.R. with only one leg. When draw a second leg takes place. The return game also ends in a draw the game goes into extra time and penalties. Each winner receives a premium from the television money, which is graded according round.

Main Round

First Main Round

The matches were played between the 14th and 16th November 1997. The replays were held to 26 November 1997 by the 24th.

Second Main Round

The matches were played between 5th-7th December 1997. The replays were followed from 15 to 17 December of the year.

Third main round

The games were completed until January 5, 1998 at 3. Necessary repetition games were scheduled for January 13 to 20.

Fourth Main Round

The games were held on 24 and 26 January 1998. The replays required were held on 3 and 4 February.

Fifth Main Round

The meetings were held until February 15, 1998 on the 13th. The replays were held on February 25.

Sixth Main Round

The games took place on 7 and 8 March 1998. The replay was scheduled for March 17.

Semifinal

The matches were played on 5 and 6 April 1998. As host of the Villa Park in Birmingham served for the match against Arsenal Wolverhampton. Newcastle and Sheffield United clashed in Manchester at Old Trafford.
