1997–98 QSPHL season
The 1997/98 season was the second regular season of Ligue de hockey semi- professionnelle du Québec ( LHSPQ ). The 14 teams completed in the regular season per 38 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Grand Portneuf de Pont- Rouge, while the Rapides de Lachute for the first time, the Futura Coupe won in the play- offs.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Jets de Louiseville stopped the game operation.
- The Aztèques d' Asbestos were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Condors de Jonquière were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Voyageurs de Vanier were resettled to Quebec City and changed their name to As de Québec.
- The gladiateurs de ville des Laurentides been to Saint -Thérèse, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Chiefs de Sainte -Thérèse.
- The 94 de Waterloo have been to Granby, Quebec, moved and changed their name to flash de Granby.
- The Dragons du Haut -Richelieu changed their name to Dragons d' Iberville.
