1997 Copa Libertadores

The Copa Libertadores 1997 was the 38th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. It was attended by 21 teams participate, including in each case the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the Second. The participants completed titleholder CA River Plate. The tournament began on 19 February and ended on 13 August 1997 with the final second leg. The Brazilian representatives Cruzeiro won the final against Sporting Cristal and for the second time the Copa Libertadores.
