1997 Tippeligaen

The Tippeligaen 1997 was the 53rd season of Norway's highest football league and the seventh season under the name Tippeligaen. The season began on 12 April 1997 and ended on November 2, 1997 with the second qualification game.

Mode

The fourteen teams in the league played in a simple round-trip round against each other, so that each team completed 26 games. The two last placed athlete had to dismount. Season
