1998–99 Copa del Rey

The Copa del Rey 1998/99 was the 95th edition of the Spanish Football Cup Copa del Rey.

The competition started on 1 September 1998 and ended with the final on 26 June 1999 at the Estadio Olímpico (Sevilla). Defender of the cup competition was the FC Barcelona. The title was won by FC Valencia a 3-0 victory in the final against Atlético Madrid. Since Valencia qualified in the 1998/99 season of the UEFA Champions League, Atlético Madrid took part in the UEFA Cup 1999/2000.

First Main Round

The first legs were played the games back on September 8 and 9 in 1998 at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd September.

  • FC Barakaldo, CD Leganés, CD Binéfar, AD Ceuta, CD Tropezón, FC Cartagena, CP Cacereño and CD Logroñés received a bye.

Second Main Round

The first legs were, the return games played on September 23 and 24 on 6 and 7 October 1998.

Third main round

The first legs were, the return games played on 28 October, on 10 and 11 November 1998.

Fourth Main Round

The first legs were played on 16 December 1998, the return legs on 13 January 1999.

Second round

The first legs were, the return games played on 20 and 21 January on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th February 1999.

Team # 1 played the first game at home.

Quarterfinals

The first legs were on 17 and 18 February, discharged the return legs on 23 and February 24, 1999

Semifinal

The first legs were, the return games played on June 8 and 9 on 15 and 16 June 1999.
