1998–99 Divizia A
The Divizia A 1998/99 was the 61st season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on 1 August 1998 and ended on 12 June 1999. From mid-December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Rapid Bucharest.

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. The three last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were three points for a draw and one point for a loss no points. If two or more teams finish the season were tied, decided not goal difference, but a direct comparison.
