1998–99 Heineken Cup

The Heineken Cup 1998/99 was the fourth edition of the Heineken Cup, the main European cup competition in rugby union. It involved 16 teams from four countries. Not represented were teams from England, including defending champion Bath Rugby, as the British Association Rugby Football Union was not in agreement with the organizers in terms of performance data and finances. The final took place on 30 January 1999 at the Lansdowne Road stadium in Dublin instead. Cup winner was the Irish team Ulster Rugby, which struck from France in the final U.S. Colomiers.
