1998–99 QSPHL season
The 1998/99 season was the third regular season of Ligue de hockey semi- professionnelle du Québec ( LHSPQ ). The 13 teams completed in the regular season per 36 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Blizzard de Joliette, which also for the first time, the Futura Coupe won in the play- offs.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The As de Québec had to suspend the game operation due to a breach of the rules of the league.
- The Chiefs de Sainte -Thérèse have been to Laval, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Chiefs de Laval.
- The Dragons d' Iberville been to Saint Laurent, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Dragons de Saint- Laurent.
- The Chacals de la Rive- Sud been to Saint -Georges- de -Beauce, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Garaga de Saint -Georges.
- The Blizzard de Saint -Gabriel were after Joliette, Quebec, moved and changed their name to Blizzard de Joliette.
