1998–99 Serie A (ice hockey) season

The 1998/99 season was the 65th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Master became the second overall time in the club history of HC Merano.

Mode

In the main round each of the nine teams completed a total of 16 games. The top eight teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. For a victory after regular time and after extra time, each team was given two points, a defeat after extra time there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points. In addition, the teams were given according to their placement in the Alps League a certain number of bonus points.
