1998–99 Vysshaya Liga season

The 1998/99 season the Wysschaja League was the seventh season of the second highest Russian league. Due to disagreements between the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and the clubs he founded a league of its own, so in the actual Wysschaja league only ten teams took part in the game operating exclusively for the 1998/99 season.

Mode

Each team in the league Wysschaja denied four games against each opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team in each case was 36 games. The top six teams qualified then the qualification round for the promotion to the Super League. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
