This year, the U.S. director Martin Scorsese was president of the jury. He stood before a jury with the following members: Alain Corneau, Chen Kaige, MC Solaar, Chiara Mastroianni, Lena Olin, Winona Ryder, Zoé Valdés, Sigourney Weaver and Michael Winterbottom.

Un Certain Regard
In the Un Certain Regard were presented this year, among others the following movies:
All the Little Animals by Jeremy Thomas, The apple of Samira Makhmalbaf, Apostle! by Robert Duvall, where: A clown by Ingmar Bergman, The Impostors by Stanley Tucci, Love Is the Devil by John Maybury, Lulu on the Bridge by Paul Auster, courts in cities of Angela Schanelec, Zero Effect by Jake Kasdan, For sale by Laetitia Masson. This year for the first time the Un Certain Regard Prize. The award went to the Kazakh- French film Tueur à gages of Darejan Omirbaev.
