1998 Yangtze River floods

The Jangtsekiangüberschwemmungen 1998 (1998年 中国 洪水) were floods that occurred in the People's Republic of China from mid- June to early September 1998 on the Yangtze River.

They were considered to be the largest floods in China for 40 years. There were 3704 deaths, 15 million homeless and an economic loss of 26 billion U.S. dollars.
