1999–2000 Codan Ligaen season

The 1999/2000 season was the second season of the Elite series under the name Codan Ligaen and thus the total of 15 host the highest Danish Hockey League. Masters were to total the second time in club history the Frederikshavn White Hawks. Gladsaxe SF rose from the second division.

Mode

In the main round each of the ten teams played a total of 36 games. The top eight teams qualified for the second season phase. This was played in two groups of four teams, with the top two teams in each group qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The two last placed the main round had to play in the relegation against the best second division. For a victory after regular time and after extra time, each team was given two points, a draw and one defeat after extra time, there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
