1999–2000 Primeira Liga
The season 1999/2000 the Portuguese Super League began on 20 August 1999 and ended on 14 May 2000. Sporting Lisbon for the 17th time in its history, Portuguese soccer champion. In the championship was attended by 18 clubs, which completed 306 games and scored 739 goals. The newly promoted from the Liga de Honra were Gil Vicente FC, Belenenses Lisbon and CD Santa Clara.
