1999 Beach Volleyball World Championships
The Beach Volleyball World Championship 1999 was held from July 19 to 25 in Marseille ( France) instead. The competitions for men and women were held in parallel. It was the second official World Cup. In women, the Brazilians Adriana Behar and Bede Shelda prevailed in the final against the American duo Annett Davis and Jenny Johnson Jordan. For men, the Swiss brothers Martin and Paul Laciga failed only in the finale of the Brazilians Emanuel Rego and Jose Loiola. The German Volleyball Federation was also represented with a total of six, with four Austria and Switzerland with six teams.
