1999 International Formula 3000 season
The Formula -3000 - 1999 season was the 15th season of Formula 3000th She started on 1 May 1999 in Imola and ended on 25 September 1999 at the Nürburgring. A total of ten races were run. The champion of the driver won Nick Heidfeld, whose team won the championship West Competition Team. The 1999 season was overshadowed by two strokes of fate: Gonzalo Rodriguez, who took second place before the season ends to a race, died in a guest appearance in the American CART series in an accident in Laguna Seca. Jason Watt, who took second place in the final race of Rodríguez, has a motorcycle accident that happened a few weeks after the end of the season, a paraplegic.
All drivers used Lola-B99/50-Chassis with Zytek V8 engines and tires from Avon.
