1999 Meistriliiga

The Meistriliiga 1999 was the ninth season of the highest Estonian football league of gentlemen, the Meistriliiga. It was played regularly from 14 April to 27 October 1999, the two play-offs took place on 6 and 14 November 1999.

Season

The champions from the 1999 season, FC Levadia Maardu from Maardu, was in the first year of its existence masters. With the Estonian Cup victory in the final against JK Viljandi Tulevik you could even win the Double. As the reigning champion of Estonian Levadia failed in the following Champions League season 2000/ 01 in the second qualifying round at Shakhtar Donetsk. The Balatonelle SK went at the end of the season in the relegation against FC Lootus Kohtla -Järve and was able to decide for themselves. Due to the resolution of the FC Lantana Tallinn at the end of the season of FC Lootus Kohtla -Järve rose to the Meistriliiga. The JK Eesti Põlevkivi Jõhvi had to dismount.

The Championship was held in a regular time in two round and two rear round games. Each team came here four times against any other team. The-table rose directly from the second-rate Esiliiga, the seventh- place finisher was playing in the relegation.

Final Table

1 FC Lantana Tallinn was dissolved so that only JK Eesti Põlevkivi Jõhvi descent.
