1st arrondissement of Lyon

The 1st arrondissement is an arrondissement ( district) of the French city of Lyon. 2008, there were 28,110 people.

The district is the center of Lyon. To the north it borders on the 4th arrondissement, in the east to the 6th, in the South on the 2nd and west by the 5th and 9th arrondissement.

It consists of the following neighborhoods (French Quarter ):

  • Pentes de la Croix- Rousse
  • Les Chartreux
  • Croix- Paquet
  • Saint -Vincent
