1st Cavalry Army (Soviet Union)

The 1st Cavalry Army (Russian Первая конная армия ) was the most famous Cavalry Army in the Russian Civil War ( 1917-1922 ). She was involved in all the major battles and was also after the civil war continues. It participated in the struggle against Denikin and Wrangel, finally crossed the whole of Siberia and captured 1924 Chukchi Peninsula.

The unit has been devoted in the Soviet Union numerous monuments, the monument to the soldiers of the 1st Red Cavalry ( Olesko ) in Ukraine.
