Game History
NHL All-Stars 4-3 Toronto Maple Leafs
Even if it was only a " friendship game", both teams went for the same use as in a final series to the point. The well-rehearsed Maple Leafs were expected into the game and led shortly after the start of the second period 3-1. In the middle third to Chicago's Bill Mosienko moved to a body check by Jimmy Thomson to a broken ankle, which forced him to eight weeks off. Towards the end of the second period the team of the All-Stars came together and created the first goal. With two quick goals by the beginning of the final section of the All-Stars went for the first time in the lead. The Leafs tried to get one back and took shortly before the end of the game their goalie Turk Broda in favor of an extra attacker on the ice, but without success. All hands full had King Clancy, who led the game as a referee.
