1st Shock Army

The 1st Shock Army of the Red Army was established by transformation of the 19th Army in November 1941.

The existence of the West, the Northwest, the 2nd and 3rd Baltic Front, Volkhov, and the Leningrad Front, she participated in the Battle of Moscow 1941/1942, the Demjansker operations in 1942 and 1943, the Leningrad - Novgorod operation and the Pskov - Ostrower, Tartu and the Baltic operation 1944 and participated in the blocking of the German army Group Courland.
