1st Word/1st Word Plus

1st Word Plus was a word processing program for the Graphical Environment Manager (GEM ). This word processor was running on Atari STs, on Acorn RISC computers and on IBM PCs on which GEM was installed.

It was characterized from the outset by the fact that it took advantage of the opportunities of the graphical user interface and example, the WYSIWYG principle supported. However, one could use in versions prior to 4.0, only one font, the essential optical formatting limited to bold and italics, and underlining of text.
