May 2 (pronounced Doi May) is a seaside resort on the Romanian Black Sea coast and has 2,300 inhabitants.

It is located a few kilometers from the Bulgarian border, between Mangalia and Vama Veche. He does not have its own railway station, but the next is just a few kilometers away in Mangalia, with which the town is connected by numerous bus routes. May 2 is suitable for tourists who prefer rural tourism instead of mass tourism. Together with the slightly more southern village of Vama Veche was May 2 as a meeting place for individual tourists, artists, nonconformists - now the place by the attraction of this reputation may have become more commercial, but camping is allowed on the beach as before and gives the very small village a serene atmosphere. In addition, there is a well-developed campground here. The southern half is set up for beach nude bathers, while the northern one is set up for ordinary bathers.

The town was founded in 1887 by Mihail Kogălniceanu and was first called Două May The first settlers were Russians from Bucharest, Iaşi and Galaţi. Later Lipovans from the region of Tulcea and Romanians were added from the county Arges. The main sources of income of the locals are fishing, agriculture and tourism. The village is part of the municipality Limanu.
