20 Kilomètres de Paris

The 20 km from Paris (French 20 Kilometres de Paris) are a nation and road race, which takes place in Paris since 1979. It has been organized since 2002 by the Association Sportive et Culturelle de l' Air ( Ascair ).

1979 was the advertised route length 20.3 km. In the 1980s and early 1990s, it should have come repeatedly to jump start, which is why the time is not considered for this period as record- ready. 1997 at a final measure, the course length was determined to be 19.83 km.

Route

The start is on the right bank of the Seine at the Jena bridge. Through the eastern part of the Jardins du Trocadéro it goes to the Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, on which one turns into the Avenue Raymond Poincaré. After 2 km you will reach the Avenue Foch which you follow west to Porte Dauphine. After a round through the Bois de Boulogne follows, the one leaves at the Porte d'Auteuil just before km 10. About the Boulevard Exelmans you return to the Seine, the right bank one upstream follows. At km 14 you will pass the starting area, at km 15 the Alma Bridge and at km 16, the Place de la Concorde. After another kilometer you change over the Pont Royal on the Left Bank. The last three kilometers run downriver to the finish on the Quai Branly between Jena Bridge and Eiffel Tower.
