The 2000/01 season was the 47th season of the Eredivisie, the highest Dutch football league. Champion for the 16th time PSV Eindhoven. Had to dismount RBC Roosendaal.
In the Relegation to Fortuna Sittard and Sparta Rotterdam prevailed, which thus play in the Eredivisie 2001/ 02. Both managed so the league.
