2000–01 European Nations Cup First Division
The 2001 season of the European Nations Cup ( ENC) was the second season in this form. In contrast to 2000, the team from Morocco was replaced by Russia in Division 1.
It was originally planned, the European Nations Cup to continue on an annual basis as the Six Nations Championship, but was decided after the 2001 season to pursue a two- year cycle with return games, and the games of just played Period in the following season 2001/2002 take. However, the 2001 season Georgia of the title was officially recognized and acknowledged.
Rules
The scoring system used was in all divisions as follows:
- 3 points for a win
- 2 points for a draw
- 1 points for a loss
- 0 in a forfeit loss
Case of a tie, the direct encounter tipped the scales.
