2000–01 Heineken Cup

The Heineken Cup 2000 /01 was the sixth edition of the Heineken Cup, the main European cup competition in rugby union. It involved 24 teams from six countries. The finals took place at the Parc des Princes in Paris on 19 May 2001. Cup winners were the Leicester Tigers in England, the French team Stade Français beat in the final.

Mode

The participants were divided into six groups of four teams. Each team played one home and one away match against the three group opponents. For the quarter final, qualified the six group winners and two best runners-up.

The points are distributed as follows:

  • 2 points for a win
  • 1 point for a draw
