2000 BMW Open

The BMW Open 2000 was the 27th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Munich. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It was, together with the de Mallorca Open and U.S. Men 's Clay Court Championships in Orlando from 1 to 7 May 2000. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 375,000. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.

The Argentine Franco Squillari able to defend his title from last year successfully. He defeated at position seven in the final set Tommy Haas, who was this year at the third position in the seedings. For Squillari the title were the first of his career to date in Munich.

In doubles, the top-seeded South African pairing won consisting of David Adams and John - Laffnie de Jager. So you took the succession of the two Argentine Mariano Puerta and Daniel Orsanic.
