2000 CA-TennisTrophy

The CA Tennis Trophy 2000 was the 26th edition of the tennis hard court indoor tournament in Vienna. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the gold part of the male ATP series. It took place at Vienna City Hall on 9 October to 15 October 2000 simultaneously with the Japan Open in Tokyo. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 700,000, which were $ 100,000 more than last year. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.

Defending the individual competition was the Briton Greg Rusedski, who retired this year in the 2nd round. It won be set at six compatriot Tim Henman, who defeated in three sets in the final Tommy Haas. The year before there was a German -British final, in which Nicolas Kiefer had left behind. For Henman it was the first and only success in a tournament of the International Series Gold and his sixth in his career.

In doubles, won the unseeded pairing Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Nenad Zimonjic, who thus began the succession of David and Sandon Stolle Prinosil. While Prinosil not took this year, Stolle lost with his partner David Adams set to one in the first round. For Kafelnikov and Zijmonić it was the only common doubles title.
