2000 Cincinnati Masters
The Tennis Masters Series Cincinnati 2000, the 99th edition of the hard court tournament in Cincinnati. The tournament was the Masters tournament of the ATP - male series, the prize money for each single and double tournament was $ 2,950,000. It was held to 14 August 2000 of 7.
Defending champion in men's singles was the American Pete Sampras, who had already retired in the 3rd round this year against Tim Henman. Henman again had to get in the finals the Swede Thomas Enqvist defeated. This was Enqvists first title of the season and his third overall at a Masters tournament in his career.
In doubles, the Australian pairing of Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge succeeds last year's winner Jonas Bjorkman and Byron Black. Black did not appear on this year and Björkman reached with his partner Max Mirny this year the quarter-finals.
