2000 Energis Dutch Open

The Energis Dutch Open 2000 was the 25th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Amsterdam. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It was, along with the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart and the Croatia Open in Umag from 17 to 23 July 2000, instead. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 375,000. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.

Defending the individual competition was the Moroccan Younes El Aynaoui who did not compete this year. Instead, the set of four Swede Magnus Gustafsson won the fourteenth and final title of his career and his first of the season. He was previously successful in the 1991 Dutch Open, at which time the tournament was, however, still held in Hilversum.

In doubles, won the unseeded Argentine Sergio Roitman pairing and Andres Schneiter, who defeated the Dutch wild card owner Edwin Kempes and Dennis van Scheppingen in three sets in the final. The defending champion Sjeng Schalken and Paul Haarhuis did not occur in this year. It was both Roitmans and Schneiters first tournament victory of their careers.
