2000 Grand Prix Hassan II
The Grand Prix Hassan II in 2000 was the 14th edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Casablanca. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It was, together with the Galleryfurniture.com Tennis Challenge in Atlanta and the Estoril Open from 10 to 16 April 2000, instead. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 325,000. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.
Defending the individual competition was the Spaniard Alberto Martín, which failed earlier this year in the first round. The winner was to be set at position six compatriot Fernando Vicente, who also was in the previous year in the final. It was his first title of the season and second of his career.
In doubles, the French pairing won consisting of Arnaud Clement and Sebastien Grosjean, who entered as a lucky loser in the tournament. For both French it was the first title of her career. The two Brazilian titleholder Fernando Meligeni and Jaime Oncins did not occur in this year.
