2000 Hamburg Masters

The German Open 2000 was the 93rd edition of the clay court tournament in Hamburg. It was held at the Hamburg Roth tree as part of the ATP Masters Series. The 64 -member single peloton played from 15 to 22 May, at a cash prize of $ 2,950,000, which played 32 double matings to $ 2,450,000.

Defender of the single was the Chilean Marcelo Rios, who failed to Marat Safin in the semifinals this year. The title secured Gustavo Kuerten, who thus won his second tournament of the season.

The doubles tournament won the Australian pairing Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde, which already represented their fifth win of the year. They broke from the also pure Australian double Wayne Arthurs and Andrew Kratzmann that do not competed in this constellation. Arthur brought it but with his partner this year Sandon Stolle to the finals.
