2000 Monte Carlo Masters

The Monte Carlo Open 2000 was the 94th edition of the traditional tournament of Monte Carlo. The clay tournament was part of the ATP Masters Series of 17 April to 24 April 2000 at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune- Cap- French Martin instead. The main draw in singles was accordingly from 64 participants in a double from 32 pairings. The prize money was $ 2,950,000.

Defender of the single was the Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten, who, however, already in the first round against Karol Kučera had left behind. The Frenchman Cedric Pioline won the tournament and won the first and only time in his career, a Masters tournament after two unsuccessful final appearances. In the 2000 season, it was his second title.

The double tournament was won Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Wayne Ferreira, who already have booked their second double victory at the Masters tournaments in this constellation.
