2000 Open 13
The Open 13 2000 was the 13th edition of the indoor tennis tournament in Marseille. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It was, together with the Dubai Tennis Open in Dubai and the Sybase Open in San Jose from 7 to 13 February 2000, instead. Together with the latter were the Open 13, the first indoor tournament of the season 2000. Prize money in each case was $ 475,000 for single and double tournament. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.
Defending the individual competition was the Frenchman Fabrice Santoro, who set this year at position six failed to Roger Federer in the semifinals. This then had the all-Swiss final against Marc Rosset in the cold. This was already Rosset's third victory in Marseille, in the previous achievements, the tournament was still played on carpet. It was also Rosset's first title of the season and the 22nd of his career.
In doubles, won the two -seeded Simon Aspelin Sweden and Johan Landsberg, both so celebrated the first title of her career. The two defending champion Max Mirny and Andrei Olchowski were no more this year.
