2000 Paris Masters
The Tennis Masters Series Paris 2000 the 26th edition of the indoor tournament in Paris. The tournament was the Masters tournament of the ATP - male series and there the second indoor tournament of the season. It was the only Masters Tournament, which was played on carpet. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 2,950,000. It took between 13 to 20 November 2000 at the Palais Omnisports de Paris -Bercy, although in individual 48 players competed against each other and in a double 24 pairings.
Defender of the single was the U.S. American Andre Agassi, who no longer took part this year. Instead, Marat Safin won his 7th individual success in the season, of which it was the second at the Masters Series.
In doubles, the Swede Nicklas Kulti and the Belarusian Max Mirnyi were the successor to the last year's winner Sebastien Lareau and Alex O'Brien. Lareau did not participate this year, while O'Brien and his partner Jared Palmer succeeded to the semifinals. For culturing it was already the fourth double victory of the season - the other three reach him, however, with Mikael Tillström as a partner as well as the 2nd Masters title of his career. For Mirny it was the third win of the season, each with different partners, and the first Masters title at all.
