2000 Stella Artois Championships

The Stella Artois Grass Court Championships 2000, the 98th edition of the lawn tennis tournament in London. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It took place along with the Gerry Weber Open in Halle from 12 to 19 June 2000, instead. Both are considered tournament preparation tournaments for the two weeks later held Wimbledon Championships. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 770,000. In individual 56 players competed against each other in a double there were 28 pairings. The first eight seeded single player, or the first four seeds received a bye double matings in the second round.

Defending the individual competition was the American Pete Sampras, of the set of six Australian Lleyton Hewitt was smooth inferior in two sets set this year to two in the final. It was Hewitt's fourth title of the season and the sixth of his career.

In doubles, won the two Australians Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge, the thus began the succession of Sebastien Lareau and Alex O'Brien, who no longer competed this year in this constellation.
