2000 Veikkausliiga

The First Division in 2000 was the eleventh season of the First Division, the highest Finnish league for football the men.

The championship was unlike last year played out again in a triple round. Each team thus played 33 season games. The-table rose from directly, the last but one had to face relegation.

Only on the final day secured the eighth time in the club's history and the third time in a row the Haka the title with a 4-0 victory over relegated KTP Kotka.

In the final, the Finnish Football Cup HJK Helsinki won 1-0 against KTP Kotka. The Finnish League Cup won as last year Vaasa PS bya 2-1 on the Helsinki club FC Jokerit. The final was played in Hanko.
