2000 World Series
The World Series 2000 was the 96th edition of the Finals of the Major League Baseball between the New York City rival New York Yankees of the American League and the New York Mets of the National League.
The series started on 21 October 2000 and ended on 26 October 2000. Winner of the " Best of Seven " series were the New York Yankees, who won Games 1, 2, 4 and 5. The Mets were only able to play three decide for themselves. With the victory, the Yankees won their 26th victory overall and the third World Series in a row. The series was the first so-called " Subway Series " (Subway Series) in the play- offs since 1956.
As the World Series MVP Derek Jeter was excellent.
