2000 World Team Table Tennis Championships
The 46th World Table Tennis Championship for teams took place until February 26, 2000, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia ), 19.
For the first time in a World Cup only the team competitions were conducted. The associated individual competitions were held in 1999 in Eindhoven (Netherlands).
The reason for these peculiarities was political: Originally, the entire World Championships in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) was planned. Because of the Kosovo war, this event was canceled. ITTF Congress
