2001–02 Divizia A
The Divizia A 2001 /02 was the 64th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on 3 August 2001 and ended on 1 June 2002. From early December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Dinamo Bucharest.

Regulate
The Divizia A played with 16 teams. The two last- placed teams were relegated in the Divizia B. The teams ranked 13 and 14 contributed relegation matches against the two runners-up of the two groups of Divizia B to the whereabouts in Divizia A. For a victory, there were three points for a draw and one point for a loss no points. If two or more teams finish the season were tied, decided not goal difference, but a direct comparison.
Results
1 Rapid Bucharest received a deduction of 1 point because the team had left on the 13th match day match against FC Braşov in protest against a decision by the referees on the pitch. The game itself was seen with 0:3.
2 FC Baia Mare sold his place at FCM Bacau.
Expulsion
This left Sportul in Divizia A.
